There are many different items found on Tattered Weave, which are used for most functions on site, such as raising kith, crafting and completing quests. These items are split into various categories, with each category of item having its own section in the inventory. Items within the same category will share similar functions, though some special items may differ from the norm.
Food can be used in quests, or fed to Kith to raise the Health stat. Food used by Kith will be displayed in the Diet box on the Kith's profile. Food can be obtained from stores, given as quest rewards, or be crafted through Cooking.
Books can be used in quests, or read to a Kith to raise the Reason stat. Books used by Kith will be displayed in the Knowledge box on the Kith's profile. Books can be obtained from stores or given as quest rewards.
Toys can be used in quests, or played with by a Kith to raise the Energy stat. Toys used by Kith will be displayed in the Toybox box on the Kith's profile. Toys can be obtained from stores or given as quest rewards.
Clothes are items which can be worn by a user's Avatar through the Dressing Room. Users can wear any clothing in their inventory, including clothing in the Locker or Gallery. Any items in the main inventory that are used in an outfit will be moved to the Locker for safe keeping when the avatar is saved. Clothing can also be used in quests.
Clothing can be obtained primarily through Tailoring, but certain clothing can be obtained from stores or given as quest rewards.
Clothes are split further into different clothing categories, which can be seen in detail on the clothes page.
Miscellaneous items are items that don't fit into other categories. They can't normally be used by a Kith. Most Misc items are used solely in quests, though some are also used as items in crafting. They can be obtained from stores or given as quest rewards.
Event items are special items that are related to site events. This can include items used in event Exchanges, or items only obtainable during events such as special forum banners.
Kitchen items are tools used for Cooking. Kitchen items can be equipped by a user to add the respective tool to their kitchen. Once used, a tool is equipped forever. However, by using a kitchen item again, users may replace their existing tool with a clean version and remove any cleaning cooldowns they may have for that tool. Kitchen items may also be used in quests.
Kitchen items can be obtained from stores, or as quest rewards.
Recipes are items used for Cooking. By using a recipe, users can add a recipe to their Kitchen to cook. Once used, a recipe is equipped forever. Recipes may also be used in quests.
Recipes can be obtained from stores. Each recipe has a respective cooking level attached to it, and the recipe will only stock in stores if the user is the correct cooking level or higher. Recipes can also be obtained as quest rewards, or through Bank Exchanges. In these cases, cooking level will not be considered.
Patterns are items used in Tailoring. Unlike recipes, patterns can not be memorised. Instead, each time an item is crafted, it will use up a pattern item. Patterns may also be used in quests. Each pattern has a respective tailoring level, however, unlike recipes, patterns will stock regardless of level. The level instead corresponds to the highest level of material used within the pattern, to show whether a user can purchase the required materials to craft the pattern.
Patterns can be obtained from stores, or as quest rewards.
Materials are items used in Tailoring. Materials can be obtained from stores. Each material has a respective tailoring level attached to it, and the material will only stock in regular stores if the users is the correct tailoring level or higher. Materials can also be obtained as quest rewards, or through premium tailoring kits. In these cases, tailoring level will not be considered.
Bundle items are items which can be opened to obtain other items. There are three main variants of bundle. Some bundle items grant the user multiple items at once. Other bundle items (often labelled as a "badge" or "selection") allow the user to select one item to receive from a list. The third type of bundle are chance items, which will give the user a random item from a pool of given items.
Bundle items can be obtained from stores or as quest rewards.
Premium items are items which are purchased for gems rather than shards. The Premium inventory section contains all items that are of Premium rarity, regardless of item type. As such, many types of items can be found in this section, including toys, books, food, clothes, bundles and more.
Premium items are primarily obtained from the Headmaster's Office, though user-made premium items may also be obtained from Backstage Broker and Kith Fashions. Some premium items may also be obtained without gem purchases through Bank Exchanges.
